Rules and Terms
The Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS® PAT (Sponsor) is the sponsor of this contest, and its beneficiary is the Louisiana REALTORS® Association PAC (LARPAC), LARPAC’s separate segregated fund (political action committee).  Individual contributions to LARPPAC are used to contribute to candidates for public office who are supportive of the industry. Contributions to LARPAC are not tax-deductible. Contributions are strictly voluntary, and you have the right to refuse to contribute without any reprisal. Contributing to LARPAC does not increase your chances of winning.  NO PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SUBMITTING A SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY BY ANY OF THE MEANS IDENTIFIED BELOW CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES. OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open to individuals who are residents of the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. You must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry in order to enter. Offer void where prohibited. Eligibility is limited to natural persons who are Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS® (GBRAR) members, GBRAR employees, and their respective families.
Duration of Sweepstakes: The sweepstakes begins at 12:00 A.M. CST on 10/1/2024 and ends on h 11:59. CST on 02/28/2025.
Two Methods of Entry: No purchase or contribution is required to participate in the sweepstakes. (1) Individuals who make a contribute to LARPAC in the recommend amount stated on their invoice ($35 for agents and $125 for brokers) as part of their 2025 dues billing  between 10/1/2024 and 02/28/2025 by following the instructions located at www.gbrar.com/pacsweeps are automatically entered in the drawing (2) Individuals who are not entered through method (1) may enter the drawing by sending an email titled “ENTRY TO SWEEPSTAKES” with the participant’s name, telephone number, and e-mail address to cruiseonthedues@gbrar.com until 11:59 p.m. EST on 02/28/2025. Individuals who participate in the sweepstakes by method (2) will receive an e-mail confirming their entry and providing a copy of the sweepstakes official rules. LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON REGARDLESS OF THE METHOD OF ENTRY USED. All sweepstakes entries become the property of Sponsor. Entries will not be returned. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, corrupted, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, or not otherwise correctly received due to technical, administrative, or human error, including, but not limited to, any software, hardware, computer or networking issues, or any other circumstances – technical or otherwise – beyond Sponsor’s control. At its sole discretion, Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this sweepstakes if it appears that the integrity, security, or administration of this process may be called into question.
Prizes: 5 Day/4 Night Cruise Vacation voucher for two to Mexico, Bahamas or the Western Caribbean aboard a Super-Liner Luxury Cruise Ship. It includes a beautiful interior stateroom (based on double occupancy), all onboard gourmet meals, buffets and snacks, 24-hour complimentary room service, dozens of exciting shipboard activities, a wide range of nightly entertainment, first-run movies, and fabulous ports to visit and shop.   Winner will be able to choose from a large selection of different sail dates, approximately 175 wonderful choices. We desire to give each cruiser a great selection of cruise dates and itineraries to meet each person’s unique travel needs.  Your cruise certificate may be upgraded to a higher deck, an outside stateroom with an ocean view, an outside stateroom with a balcony, a family cabin or a suite. There will be an additional upgrade fee to cover the cost difference, based upon the port of departure, travel dates, and the cruise ship and ports selected. All upgrades are subject to availability. Can be extended up to an 8 Day/7 Night cruise vacation, at special group rates. Any extended cruise is subject to availability based on port of departure, travel dates, the cruise ship and ports selected, and room allocations.   Available ports are Los Angeles, Miami, Port Canaveral, Mobile, New Orleans and Galveston. Ports of departure are based upon specific cruise ships, itineraries and travel dates, and are subject to availability.  There is a $19 registration/processing fee each cruiser pays. Cruise certificate recipients are responsible for port charges, taxes, and government fees. In addition, they are responsible for transportation to and from the port, gratuities, bar beverages, selected spa services, personal expenses and shore excursions.  Proper travel documents are required throughout the cruise and is the responsibility of the guest. Any guest traveling without proper documentation will not be allowed to board the ship and no refund of the cruise passage will be given. All cruise lines strongly recommend guests travel with a valid passport or proof of citizenship such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate, a certificate of naturalization, a passport card or an enhanced driver’s license (EDL) as well as a government-issued photo ID. Please visit www.travel.state.gov for detailed information. The odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
Selection of Winners: The prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about 03/01/2025 to be held at GBRAR’s office in Baton Rouge, LA. The prize winners will be notified on or about 03/07/2025. An alternate prize winner will be selected via random drawing in the event the prize cannot be awarded to the prize winner drawn. There will be one prize awarded.
Prize Restrictions: All taxes in connection with the prize, and the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. You are only eligible to receive one prize from Sponsor per calendar year. Delivery Prize will be in calendar year 2025.
Limitation of Liability: By participating and/or accepting a prize, entrants and prize winners agree to release and hold harmless Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS®, Louisiana, its member companies, and LARPAC and member companies’ officers, directors, employees and agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”), against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the sweepstakes. In addition, the winner agrees that the Released Parties shall have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize. Sponsor makes no warranties – either express or implied – regarding a particular prize’s merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Conditions: Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner(s). Winner(s) will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent, including a winner’s full social security number, for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by Sponsor in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.  Decisions regarding all matters relating to the sweepstakes that are not addressed in these Official Rules shall be made by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, and each participant agrees that all such decisions shall be binding and final. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person (and all of their entries) from the sweepstakes and to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the sweepstakes. Any attempt by an entrant to undermine the legitimate operation of this sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. The Released Parties are not responsible for any part of a sweepstakes prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of god, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism or other factors beyond Sponsor’s control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the sweepstakes, you understand and agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved by Sponsor.
